I am glad you enjoyed my story. Thank you. Strip clubs like the Dinger X gave women like me a place to work, not be homeless. We werent on the dangerous street. The undercover cops needed to go find some real criminals to go after rather than find fault with some pretty sexy women. Of course Im sure trying to bust a criminal with a gun was harder and less fun anyday than to try to bust a stripper and/or customer for some meaningless, petty sex offense. The cops were worse than most of the customers anyday. A bunch of lonely men miserable with their wives. Both the cops and the customers..

excuse me i worked at the dinger x and i am not a skank. i dont do drugs, dont even drink, and wore sparkly beautiful glittery stripper costumes. i dressed with class. i remember a manager named Doug who worked here. I was told he died of cancer. Joe Baker also managed here. He died of a hart attack, Several managers of the Humdinger chain (the Dinger X was part of this chain) are all passed away. i worked here because i needed money. There were better places to work and spend my time. This place was always crawling with undercover cops who had nothing better to do with their time but harrass strippers.. i worked at Dinger X in the late 1980's. That is how long it has been.
  • Pink's, Steven Georges (guest) wrote 9 years ago:
No longer Pink's - It changed back to its original name "Cable Car Kitchen" The name originated from the fact that a Knott's Cable Car (original cable car modified to run without the cable) ran through the east side of CCK in a wooden gazebo seating area.
